it's nights like these that I am forever grateful for. my three childhood best friends, madi alex, and syd, sit around chatting and snacking about whatever comes to mind. we've been the "crew" for almost 10 years now and we've faced shifting home lives, different high schools & colleges, and uncertain futures but I am sure these girls will be lifelong pals. here's to the crew, and our memories & future adventures together.

so the packing begins. mom has been a great help so far mapping out the essentials, making a medical kit and remembering the basics (like scissors.. you always need scissors but never have them on hand.) I am so fortunate to have "extras" of things that mom said I can take and just leave/throw out on my way home (plastic ware for the kitchen..) and Tess is going to come over and help me roll & stuff it all into my suitcase when the time comes. 7 days until departure!

haven't gotten all that far just yet
here it is - my very first post on the "adventures" blog! i'm psyched to get this started in preparation for my departure to france. i will do my best to keep things updated, light & exciting as i travel across europe (and my adventures before and after the big plunge abroad!)
